APS Eighth Graders Embark on Career Trek

On September 29 and 30, all Aurora Public Schools eighth graders are embarking on an epic Career Trek. In alignment with the three goals of our strategic plan, APS 2020, this year’s theme is “Roadmap to your Successful Future”. School and district leaders are excited to engage students as they shape plans for their futures, build skills to implement their plans and earn credentials that open doors. Students will be exploring a myriad of career paths and extra-curricular activities.

The event is being held at the Professional Learning and Conference Center from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on both days. Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate new technologies and meet with students.

Students will be encouraged to visit, introduce themselves and learn from many different exhibitors.

Exhibitors will be participating from the following Colorado Career Clusters:

  • Business, Marketing & Public Administration
  • Agriculture, Natural Resources & Energy
  • STEM, Arts, Design & Information Technology
  • Skilled Trades & Technical Sciences
  • Health Sciences, Criminal Justice & Public Safety
  • Hospitality, Human Services & Education
