APS Eighth Graders Embark on Career Trek

On November 2 and 3, all Aurora Public Schools eighth graders are embarking on an epic Career Trek. With “Passports to Success” in hand, students will be exploring a myriad of career paths and extra-curricular activities.

The event is being held at the Professional Learning and Conference Center from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on both days. More than 50 exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate new technologies and meet with students.

Students will be encouraged to visit, introduce themselves and get their passports stamped by different exhibitors. Students will be eligible to win prizes and may be rewarded with a digital badge related to career exploration.

Exhibitors will be participating from the following Colorado Career Clusters:

  • Business, Marketing & Public Administration
  • Agriculture, Natural Resources & Energy
  • STEM, Arts, Design & Information Technology
  • Skilled Trades & Technical Sciences
  • Health Sciences, Criminal Justice & Public Safety
  • Hospitality, Human Services & Education
