APS Presents Poetry @ Play
A new signature poetry event for the Aurora Cultural Arts District focuses on local poetry. The event will include area poets, students, educators, artists and the general public celebrating the spoken word.
On Friday, September 20th, Aurora high school students will read original poems at Aurora West College Preparatory Academy. Community College of Aurora Faculty will participate and encourage the students at the event. Students can sign up with their school principal.
Partners include Aurora Public Schools, Aurora City Councilperson Debi Hunter-Holen, Community College of Aurora, and various area artists and poets from the Aurora Cultural Arts District.
