International Walk to School Day at Paris Elementary

Paris Elementary School will celebrate International Walk to School Day tomorrow by partnering with Safe Kids Denver Metro and FedEx. For the 13th year, Safe Kids coalitions are teaming up with hundreds of FedEx volunteers to teach children how to be safer pedestrians as they walk to and from school and raise awareness around specific pedestrian issues.

Safe Kids Worldwide and program sponsor FedEx created the Safe Kids Walk This Way Program in the United States to teach safe behaviors to motorists and child pedestrians and create safer, more walkable communities. Safe Kids Denver Metro’s initiatives are designed to help children walk safely all year round. Safe Kids Denver Metro members include hospitals, public health organizations, parents and other caregivers, police, fire, emergency medical services agencies and others. Safe Kids Denver Metro was founded in 1998 and is led by Children’s Hospital Colorado.
