College Track currently serves 60 Rangeview High School students. The number will eventually grow to 200 students annually. College Track is a national after-school program that empowers students to reach their dream of a college degree. The group provides academic and personal support for eight years starting in ninth grade and ending when students graduate from college.

"Aurora Public Schools values partnerships that help us accelerate student achievement and close the achievement gaps," said APS Superintendent John L. Barry. "The work of College Track and Summit 54 is truly a gift to APS and is literally changing the lives of the students involved in this inaugural program by assisting them in reaching their goal of graduating from college. We are exceedingly grateful to be honored as the district of choice for this unique program in the state of Colorado."

The program boasts an impressive record of success. One hundred percent of seniors in the College Track program graduate high school. Ninety percent go on to a four-year college, with 60 percent graduating within six years. And 85 percent of these students will be the first person in their family to earn a college degree. The program currently serves more than 1,100 high school and college students in California, Louisiana and Colorado. This is the only College Track center in Colorado.

College Track CEO David Silver and Summit 54 Founder Tony Caine will join Governor Hickenlooper and Superintendent Barry at the event.
