APS Presents “Gandhi King Chavez” Event

 

The Aurora Public Schools Division of Equity and Engagement is pleased to present “The Spirit of Peace-Building – the 14th Annual Gandhi King Chavez Season for Non-violence.” This special event will feature guest speaker Arun Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. 


The free conference is open to community members, parents, students and staff. Sponsors include APS, the Aurora Police Department and New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living.

A “Season for Non-violence” is a national 64-day educational, media and grass-roots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that non-violence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower lives and communities.
